Gina Graffagna (she/her) is a Chicago-based vocalist, teacher, and all-around music enthusiast who loves nothing more than helping people discover the magic of their own voices. With over a decade of experience onstage and in the studio, she moves easily between Musical Theatre, Classical, Pop, and Rock—whether she’s belting out a show tune, harmonizing in a choir, or teaching a student how to find their unique sound.
As a performer, Gina has sung everywhere from intimate theatre stages in Chicago and Milwaukee to massive arenas, where she got to share the spotlight (okay, backup, but still!) with Michael Bublé and Josh Groban. She’s graced productions at Next Act Theatre, Music by the Lake, and In Tandem Theatre, and she regularly lends her voice to choirs and ensembles across the city.
But if you ask Gina, her greatest joy comes from teaching. For the past 12 years, she’s worked with singers from age 10 to 70, guiding them through the twists and turns of Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) technique and cheering them on as they unlock what makes their voice theirs. She spent six years teaching at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she helped shape the next generation of musical theatre performers.
Gina holds a BFA in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has continued her studies at the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah Conservatory. But titles and training aside, what really drives her is this: she believes every voice has a story worth telling—and she’s here to help you tell yours.
